Hardy: Personal Profile
Erin was born in Queensland and had a love of music from a very early age. She began piano lessons at the age of 4, studied cello from the age of 10 and piano accordion at 14.
Erin began teaching piano and theory at the age of 14. In 1995 she was awarded an Associate Diploma in Music (A.Mus.A) and with this achievement decided to pursue music as a career path.
After completing secondary school, Erin began a Bachelor of Arts/Music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Coupled with her studies she established her first small business in the area of instrumental teaching. After completing her music degree (BAMus) she went on to complete a Masters of Teaching specialising in both primary and secondary music education at Queensland University of Technology. Erin moved to Melbourne and has been teaching in the primary school system for several years.
Erin has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the education system including the complex nature of timetabling and the importance of literacy and numeracy blocks. Musical Inspiration is based on honouring these important components of education and we consistently endeavour to work around these all important literacy and numeracy sessions.
Over the last 17 years of teaching Erin has developed strategies that have become the a sound basis for Musical Inspiration Pty Ltd. Erin ensures that all staff members of Musical Inspiration share her passion and vision in regards to music education and also have the necessary Working with Children Checks.
